Authorized Climber Online Course

The Fall Protection Awareness course was created for new, infrequent, and non-climbers. In fall protection there are three main and recognized categories of climbing expertise. The first level is Authorized Climber, the second level is Competent Climber and finally there is the Competent Rescuer.

This course is an introduction to the regulations, standards, equipment, the hierarchy of controls, and basics of equipment inspection that pertain to working at heights.

In this course, the student becomes familiar with various pieces of equipment, their proper use, and what to avoid.

The course will cover Governing Regulations and Standards, Anchors, Components and their use, Recognizing and Responding to Hazards, Equipment Used and Governing Standards, and Equipment Inspection.

This course is also ideal for Project Managers, Construction Managers, other individuals managing jobs that include work-at-heights, and non-climbing individuals exposed to hazards above while working onsite.

This course includes an exam that must be passed with a minimum score of 75%.

Final Exam Policy

Users are granted two attempts to pass the Final Exam.

After the first attempt, if unsuccessful, users may review their missed questions before taking the second attempt.

If a user fails both Final Exam attempts

The user must repurchase the entire course.

The user is required to retake all course materials in full.

Only after completing these steps will the user regain access to the Final Exam.

Important: Failing both exam attempts necessitates buying and retaking the entire course. There are no exceptions to this policy.
